Lead Egnyte’s Desktop team in India, owning delivery of business-critical Windows and macOS applications used by hundreds of thousands of active users. Partner with Product across India, Poland, and the US to turn customer feedback into team roadmap priorities. Manage engineering execution, quality, performance, and career development, while championing AI adoption and participating in global engineering leadership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Product across India, Poland, and the US to define priorities, gather context, and translate customer feedback into the team roadmap.
•Lead and operationalize the India-based desktop engineering team, coordinating closely with the Poland-based team to ensure effective processes and delivery.
•Create and maintain career development plans, ensuring engineers have support, context, and growth opportunities.
•Unblock the team by clarifying requirements, removing obstacles, and ensuring well-defined specifications before development begins.
•Drive continuous improvement in code quality, monitor feature-level performance and reliability, and respond to customer feedback through patch releases and reprioritization.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
•10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an engineering leadership role.

•Background in desktop native application development; experience with C++, C#, SwiftUI, and Python on Windows and macOS is preferred.
•Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across geographies and distributed teams.
