Job Summary

Ensure deployment, maintenance, performance, integrity, and security of a MariaDB database platform supporting Amadeus applications. You’ll plan and operate high-availability database clusters, manage storage/archiving and backup/recovery including disaster recovery, monitor performance and database parameters, and troubleshoot 24x7 operational incidents. Partner with Linux System Engineering and R&D teams, contribute to the on-call roster, and improve MariaDB automation using tools like Ansible and Python.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan and deploy MariaDB database clusters for multi-terabytes workloads with high availability and fault tolerance.
•Ensure storage, archiving, and backup/recovery procedures work correctly, including disaster recovery situations.
•Maintain and upgrade database clusters to comply with patching, kernel patching, and security standards (including PCIDSS and vulnerability remediation).
•Monitor performance and manage database parameters to provide best-in-class experience.
•Investigate operational incidents, debug problems, provide recovery solutions in 24x7 operational conditions, and contribute to the on-call roster.
