Job Summary

Support the Pratt & Whitney Auto Air site’s environment, health, and safety (EH&S) requirements at a multi-campus Lansing facility. Partner with line supervision to ensure regulatory compliance, administer an EH&S Council, and provide technical direction for safety programs (industrial hygiene, contractor safety, elevated work, emergency response). Conduct audits and inspections, analyze trends, drive corrective actions, respond to onsite incidents, and deliver EH&S training on the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and RTX EH&S Standard Practices.
•Support the administration of an EH&S Council, including interfacing with subcommittees, updating performance trends, and tracking EH&S projects to completion.
•Program manage Health and Safety programs such as Industrial Hygiene, Contractor Safety Management, Elevated Work, Emergency Response, and other Health and Safety Programs.
•Coordinate specialized EH&S audits and inspections, conduct trend analysis, and develop corrective/preventive actions based on inspection results and incident data.
•Respond to onsite medical incidents as an on-rotation spill responder and provide/ensure EH&S training on the manufacturing floor environment.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and minimum 8 years EH&S regulatory compliance experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years experience.
•EH&S regulatory and management systems knowledge.
•Experience working in a union manufacturing environment (preferred).
•EH&S experience developing and implementing Safety and Health Programs.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
