Key Responsibilities

  • •Review new annuity sales, transfers, replacements, and exchanges to confirm suitability and best-interest alignment with customer needs, objectives, and circumstances.
  • •Analyze suitability documentation to evaluate customer profiles, investment objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and product appropriateness.
  • •Conduct independent suitability determinations and document findings and decisions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • •Collaborate with financial professionals to obtain missing information, clarify documentation, and resolve issues needed to complete reviews (including interviewing applicants when necessary).
  • •Identify complex or high-risk exception cases, escalate them to senior reviewers, and partner with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing while maintaining a positive customer/advisor experience.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to independently assess risk and make complex suitability decisions with high accuracy and accountability.
  • •Strong understanding of insurance and retirement products, suitability requirements, and best-interest standards with a focus on customer protection and regulatory compliance.
  • •Experience reviewing annuity transactions (sales, transfers, replacements, exchanges) and completing suitability/best-interest reviews in a regulated financial services environment.
  • •Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex financial situations and identify potential risks using submitted documentation and customer profiles.
  • •Preferred: 5-8 years of experience in suitability review, insurance operations, compliance, risk management, or related functions; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent).
