Key Responsibilities

  • •Determine methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from physical sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, maps, and technical sources.
  • •Perform traffic engineering investigations and inspections of site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, and transportation corridors to verify conformance with standards and permits.
  • •Develop and design corridor and intersection improvements, including near-term initiatives and longer-term capital improvement projects, coordinating with authorities and clients.
  • •Conduct capacity analyses and traffic plan reviews, perform signal system design, and support monitoring/control and operations analysis.
  • •Prepare technical reports, presentations, data/visualizations, and documentation (including compliance and Health & Safety Plans).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • •5 to 7 years of relevant post-education engineering experience with prior traffic design experience.
  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • •Proficient knowledge of traffic engineering principles, practices, and traffic control/communications systems, including capacity and operational analysis.
  • •Proficiency with technical writing and tools such as AutoCAD, Microstation, spreadsheets, and predictive models.
