Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint work, with mentor support if required.
  • •Contribute to writing bids for research funding and to management/administration arising from research.

Key Requirements

  • •A PhD relevant to the research area (e.g., Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering) or near completion.
  • •Hands-on experience in chemical functionalisation or surface modification of nanomaterials.
  • •Experience synthesising, preparing, or optimising nanoparticles or other nanomaterials.
  • •Practical experience in physicochemical characterisation (e.g., particle size, morphology, surface chemistry, surface charge, and/or colloidal stability).
  • •High analytical capability and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
