Job Summary

Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver high-impact distributed systems for cost attribution and cloud resource optimization. You’ll own end-to-end system design, scale and optimize cloud infrastructure, own service components, partner with product and infrastructure teams, mentor juniors, and build automated tooling to reduce waste and improve efficiency across Databricks’ data platform at scale.

•End-to-End System Design: Lead projects from concept to deployment and design scalable systems that handle high-volume data to provide accurate cost attribution and resource management.

•Component Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of your services with high code quality, monitoring, and low operational overhead.
•Bridge the Gap: Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to translate business needs into technical specs and build tooling for cloud economics.
•Mentorship & Best Practices: Contribute to code reviews, share engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers to embed efficiency checks in the development workflow.
