Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safe operation of the plant refrigeration, boiler, air compressor, and hot water systems
  • •Perform daily preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs for ammonia refrigeration and related components
  • •Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment including HOWDEN, SULLAIR, and MYCOM ammonia compressors, condensers, and valve stations
  • •Maintain equipment to provide required temperatures per food industry standards
  • •Participate as an emergency response team member and follow verbal and written procedures

Key Requirements

  • •PSM experience
  • •Experience working with anhydrous ammonia systems, including mechanical and electrical repairs (ammonia response training preferred)
  • •Ability to obtain SCBA certification and use a fully encapsulated chemical suit in an emergency
  • •Ability to pass IIAR training modules for ammonia refrigeration
  • •1 year of industrial maintenance/electrical training and 1 year of ammonia refrigeration or HVAC operator experience
