Key Responsibilities

  • •Run the monthly close end-to-end, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, flux review, and variance explanations.
  • •Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping with clean AP/AR workflows, bill processing, billing/cash application, and expense management.
  • •Own inventory accounting for physical metal, including cost-per-pound integrity and reconciliation between the platform and the ledger.
  • •Manage cash and lender reporting: reconcile bank accounts, monitor daily cash activity, prepare borrowing base certificates, and facilitate banking transactions.
  • •Build the control environment and run accounting systems, serving as primary contact for external auditors and banks while leading ERP evaluation/migration.

Key Requirements

  • •5–10 years of progressive accounting experience with full ownership of a monthly close (calendar, entries, reconciliations, deadlines).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
  • •Apply GAAP and internal controls, including accruals/cutoffs, revenue recognition, and inventory/COGS accounting, and explain to non-accountants.
  • •Strong systems experience with deep QuickBooks Online (or equivalent ERP) and integrated fintech stacks like Ramp and bill-pay; ideally experience with an ERP migration/implementation.
  • •Detail-oriented and calm under close-week deadlines; comfortable building processes in an ambiguous environment.
