Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare ground surfaces for road construction by grading and leveling subgrade and base materials.
  • •Remove debris, obstacles, and unsuitable material from the construction path.
  • •Shovel, rake, and spread aggregate, dirt, and road base materials; operate hand tools and compactors to level and compact base layers.
  • •Assist paving crews by raking and leveling material behind paving equipment, helping shape and finish roadway surfaces, and signaling operators for proper alignment and safe movement.
