Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, transporting loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork) and deliver it when the route is complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service checks on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing, including a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for speaking professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
