Job Summary

Measure, calculate, and establish elevations, grades, and layout points for construction projects. Read and interpret construction plans and specifications, set and maintain grade stakes and control points, and perform field layout for grading, excavation, utilities, and paving. Operate surveying equipment (GPS, laser levels, total stations, automatic levels) to verify elevations and alignments, document survey data, communicate grade info to crews, and support safety and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, profiles, and specifications.
•Establish and maintain grade stakes, benchmarks, offsets, and control points.
•Perform field layout for grading, excavation, utilities, paving, and related activities.
•Operate surveying equipment (GPS systems, laser levels, total stations, automatic levels) and verify elevations, alignments, slopes, and dimensions.
•Document measurements and survey data, communicate grade information to crews, conduct grade checks, and ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Key Requirements
