Security Software Engineer Project Intern (Network Security) - 2026 Start (BS/MS)

Work on ByteDance’s Network Security team to strengthen an enterprise Web Application Firewall (WAF) against automated threats and large-scale application-layer attacks. You’ll build intelligent defenses such as challenge-collapsar mitigation with dynamic thresholding, smart bot behavior detection through request-pattern analysis, and optimize adaptive learning to reduce false positives and improve identification of suspicious activity. The role is project-based and requires at least a 3-month internship commitment.
