Job Summary

Lead and scale a high-performing Manufacturing Design Engineering team responsible for specification, design, launch and ramp of advanced powertrain manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment. Drive capex, capacity planning, and align with regional/global suppliers while feeding manufacturing learnings back to product design.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead & scale the team: Coach, mentor, and grow a high-performing MDE team; own headcount planning, talent acquisition, and career development for your ICs.
•Own the Capex & capacity lifecycle: Drive strategy, budget, and execution for all powertrain manufacturing equipment to meet current and future demand.
•Drive equipment execution: Lead the Equipment Design specifications and RFQ process from concept through FAT/SAT, launch, and ramp.
•Partner regionally & globally: Cultivate strategic relationships with equipment integrators and automation suppliers in lockstep with purchasing.
•Influence product design: Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to feed line learnings and DFМ insights back to product design for high-volume, high-yield manufacturing.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 152,100 - 190,100 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
•2+ years of experience directly managing a technical engineering team, with a proven track record of developing talent.
•5+ years in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment (EV, Aerospace, or Semiconductor preferred).
•Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and Capex planning; deep understanding of OEE, yield, line balancing, and lean layouts.
•Strong problem-solving toolbox (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, or Ishikawa) and ability to communicate technical complexities clearly.
