Key Responsibilities

•Apply knowledge of protein functionality (e.g., emulsification, gelation, water binding) to improve food texture, stability, and performance across Kraft Heinz product platforms
•Lead formulation and application work using dairy and meat proteins in products such as sauces, snacks, desserts, cheese, and dairy-based beverages; translate knowledge to plant-based proteins when possible
•Partner with Product Development, Process Engineering, Nutrition, Regulatory, and Marketing to support product innovation from concept through commercialization
•Evaluate new protein ingredients and technologies from suppliers and academic partners; identify opportunities for joint research and technology scouting
•Support scale-up and manufacturing by addressing protein-related processing challenges and maintaining a deep understanding of the protein ingredient landscape

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 120,800 - 151,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience OR PhD with a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience in applied protein chemistry or food formulation; degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Dairy/Meat Science, or a related field is highly preferred
•Strong understanding of protein structure and behavior in real food systems; experience with dairy and meat proteins; ability to translate science into practical food applications
•Experience leading formulation and application work with dairy and meat proteins in products such as sauces, snacks, desserts, cheese, and dairy/beverage systems; plant-based translation is a plus
•Experience with pilot plant trials, ingredient functionality testing, cross-functional product development, and external ecosystem engagement
•Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and project-management skills; ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively
