Job Summary

Provide expert radiology and nuclear medicine subject matter guidance for VA Health Services Portfolio Technical Management and Strategic Solutioning Support (HTMS). Advise leadership and technical teams on HL7 and Valid Data Length (VDL) business rules, workflow standardization, governance, stakeholder engagement, and operational sustainment. Support operational workflows and policies, analyze incident impacts, troubleshoot SNOW tickets, and identify process improvements to modernize services enterprise-wide.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the principal advisor and SME for radiology and nuclear medicine HL7 and Valid Data Length (VDL), supporting workflow standardization, governance, and operational sustainment.
•Provide expert consultation on radiology and nuclear medicine operational workflows, policies, procedures, SNOW tickets, and best practices.
•Support enterprise-wide radiology and nuclear medicine standardization initiatives and advise on operational impacts of changes, enhancements, and regulatory requirements.
•Perform operational analysis and business impact assessments for incidents affecting radiology and nuclear medicine services, including prioritization based on clinical impact and risk.
•Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve operational concerns and provide issue analysis with recommended steps and preventative measures for problematic SNOW tickets.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 90,480 - 95,004 annually

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or another engineering/technical discipline plus 10 years of experience (or equivalent additional relevant experience).
•Extensive experience supporting radiology and/or nuclear medicine operations in a healthcare environment.
•Extensive experience troubleshooting radiology and nuclear medicine SNOW tickets and domain knowledge of radiology packages.
•Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows, imaging operations, and healthcare business processes.
•Ability to analyze complex operational issues and provide strategic recommendations, including experience developing policies, procedures, and governance documents.
