Job Summary

Build and maintain large-scale software for a nationwide network of advanced data-collection and processing sites, enabling highly accurate and timely forecasts. You’ll perform root-cause analysis and operations/maintenance support, oversee technical design and implementation using DevSecOps pipelines, and collaborate in an integrated agile team with enterprise experts. The role includes delivering product demos, contributing to architecture and engineering standards, and providing third-tier on/off-call support.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution with a focus on operations and maintenance.
•Oversee technical design, development, and implementation of large-scale software products using DevSecOps pipelines.
•Collaborate in an integrated company/customer agile team with enterprise subject-matter experts.
•Deliver rapid, iterative, high-quality code and contribute to architecture definition and engineering standards.
•Provide third-tier on and off-call support for configuration and/or software issues, including technical reviews and product demonstrations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s in STEM (preferred) and at least 5 years of prior engineering experience.
•Experience with Java and Python programming.
•Experience developing software for meteorological, weather, or environmental applications.
•Experience with meteorological data formats and standards.
•Experience working in Agile Scrum environments and using Eclipse; Linux command line and bash scripting experience.
