Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support assistance to refinery electrical engineers for various refinery units to help achieve optimal performance while meeting safety, environment, and economic guidelines.
  • •Perform routine engineering calculations.
  • •Identify, organize, and field-verify electrical utilization and distribution documentation, then revise and store it in electronic filing systems including CMMS and drawing storage.
  • •Design and update motor feeder circuits and related drawings, including P&IDs, area classification drawings, conduit route plans, switch rack/MCC elevation drawings, one-lines, schematics, and conduit and cable lists.
  • •Recognize, report, and/or suggest recommendations regarding safety, health, and environmental issues impacting operations and personnel.

  • •Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program at a four-year college/university.
  • •Available to work 40 hours per week.
  • •Currently a Junior enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program at a four-year college/university.
  • •Previous internship experience in the petrochemical or refining industry.
  • •Completion of core engineering courses, such as Circuit Theory.
