Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft, review, and negotiate routine and mission-critical commercial contracts, including professional services, master services, NDAs, license, and technology-related hardware/software agreements.
  • •Advise business teams on legal issues, approval processes, Compass policies and procedures, and business strategy.
  • •Provide business-focused legal support for corporate transactions, integration of acquired businesses, and strategic initiatives such as Compass Concierge.
  • •Continuously improve standard form agreements and legal processes, including contract lifecycle management with automation, trainings, templates, and playbooks.
  • •Collaborate with other attorneys and stakeholders across the company to deliver practical legal guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •JD and membership in good standing in at least one state bar (NY or CA bar a plus).
  • •5+ years of top-tier law firm and/or in-house experience focused on corporate matters.
  • •Strong analytical, consulting, drafting, and negotiation skills with the ability to explain complex ideas.
  • •Detail-oriented and organized; able to work independently and manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.
  • •Experience with privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, GLBA, TCPA, and/or DNC) is a plus.
