Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist Radiation Protection Supervisors with day-to-day Radiation Protection personnel activities, including log review and coordination with station work groups.
  • •Develop and maintain Radiation Protection Department and Safety Services procedures.
  • •Coordinate implementation of programs including Radioactive Waste Management, ALARA, Radioactive Material Control, Dosimetry, Respiratory Protection, and Effluent & Radiological Environmental Programs.
  • •Monitor program effectiveness and produce trend reports.
  • •Represent Radiation Protection on the Chemical Overview Group (COG), serve as Contract Coordinator for Radiation Protection contracts, and support outage planning radiological support plans.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. in Health Physics or Radiation Protection plus 4 years related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years related work experience.
  • •Associate’s degree in engineering technology, chemistry, radiation protection or related field plus 9 years related work experience, including NRRPT Certification.
  • •Navy Nuclear ELT plus 9 years related work experience, including NRRPT Certification.
  • •11 years related work experience, including NRRPT Certification (including at least 2 years of Radiation Protection experience).
  • •Support radiation protection training development and provide operational coordination for radiation protection personnel.
