Key Responsibilities

•Lead incubation of next-generation, high-capacity LLM solutions for TikTok business, defining short- and medium-term objectives.
•Design methods, tools, data recipes, and experiments to advance state-of-the-art in large language models.
•Explore model architecture and inference-efficient design to scale impact across LLM applications.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement projects harnessing LLMs for diverse purposes and vertical domains.
•Extend research insights and impact from industry to academia.

Key Requirements

•Ph.D in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
•Proficiency in Python, Rust, or C++, with a track record working with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, DeepSpeed, Megatron, vLLM).
•Experience designing and executing LLM/VLM/Omni Model pretraining and applications, including evaluations and data processing recipes.
•Experience with inference tuning and inference acceleration, including strong understanding of GPU and/or AI accelerators.
•Strong understanding of distributed computing, performance tuning, and verification across training/finetuning/inference.
