Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead incubation of next-generation, high-capacity LLM solutions for TikTok business, defining short- and medium-term objectives.
  • •Design methods, tools, data recipes, and experiments to advance state-of-the-art in large language models.
  • •Explore model architecture and inference-efficient design to scale impact across LLM applications.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement projects harnessing LLMs for diverse purposes and vertical domains.
  • •Extend research insights and impact from industry to academia.

Key Requirements

  • •Ph.D in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • •Proficiency in Python, Rust, or C++, with a track record working with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, DeepSpeed, Megatron, vLLM).
  • •Experience designing and executing LLM/VLM/Omni Model pretraining and applications, including evaluations and data processing recipes.
  • •Experience with inference tuning and inference acceleration, including strong understanding of GPU and/or AI accelerators.
  • •Strong understanding of distributed computing, performance tuning, and verification across training/finetuning/inference.
