Job Summary

Lead systems engineering work for the ATNAVICS air traffic navigation, integration, and coordination program. Own task planning, requirements (including interface definitions), and requirement verification/validation, while developing test plans, procedures, and integration/verification documentation. Support operations concept and procedure planning, address customer issues, and contribute to sustainment for legacy radar systems. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, communicate with the IPTL, mentor junior engineers, and occasionally travel to mission sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead systems engineer tasks including task planning, estimates, product ownership, and collecting metrics/cost accountability.
•Define and drive systems engineering requirements, including interface definitions, and requirement verification and validation.
•Develop and implement test plans and procedures, including integration and verification documentation, and execute testing.
•Support operations concept definition and procedure planning with cross-organization partners, and help resolve customer issues through system/product requirements.
•Support sustainment for legacy radar systems (troubleshooting, documenting, and testing) and mentor junior engineers; communicate with the IPTL and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Requirements

•Proficient in systems integration and qualification activities, including requirements analysis, procedure development, test development, and test execution/evaluation.
•Experience with digital engineering tools such as DOORS and Cameo, plus Microsoft Office Suite.
•Ability to generate technical documentation and manage small projects.
•Experience with radio, radar, or secondary radar systems.
•Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
