Job Summary

Lead AMD’s work on next-generation, industry-standard GPU performance and power benchmarks within the Data Center Solutions Group (DSG) Architecture and Strategy team. Represent AMD externally to benchmark organizations, define benchmark strategy, and measure performance/power on AMD and competitive GPU servers using telemetry and hardware performance counters. Investigate and root-cause anomalies, propose benchmark design adjustments, and coordinate with GPU architecture, software, product, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Represent AMD externally to benchmark development organizations, including attending remote and in-person meetings.
•Lead AMD strategy for developing and measuring industry standard GPU performance and power benchmarks.
•Measure GPU server performance and power on AMD and competitive systems, collecting telemetry data such as hardware performance counters.
•Investigate and root-cause performance or power anomalies in development benchmarks with support from experts.
•Develop and present benchmark design or adjustment proposals and coordinate internally with GPU architecture, product management, and marketing teams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
•Strong knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, with practical experience applying them to solve real-world problems.
•Deep technical understanding of server GPU hardware and software architecture, including server system and CPU architecture and GPU/AI accelerator interactions.
•Experience with GPU programming platforms like CUDA or HIP and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Triton, or JAX.
•Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, C++, and Java, using tools like Git.
