Job Summary

Own and evolve the core Integrations Engine that powers third-party connectors for the Tenable One platform. Lead design and development of high-performance backend services, taking responsibility for end-to-end performance, low-latency data ingestion, and production reliability at massive scale. Drive system-design discussions, mentor through code reviews, and partner with Product, SRE, QA, and Security to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions using modern distributed systems and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design and development of complex, high-performance backend services within the Tenable One ecosystem with modularity and long-term maintainability.
•Own end-to-end performance of critical platform components, optimizing massive data ingestion and low-latency processing across global environments.
•Drive architectural discussions and provide high-level system design input toward scalable, cloud-native best practices.
•Mentor and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions to foster continuous improvement.
•Use a production-first approach to reliability, leading root-cause analysis and implementing preventative measures for distributed system issues.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of experience in software engineering on large-scale projects solving complex technical problems.
•BSc in Computer Science (or related) or a strong track record in server-side development.
•Proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, Kotlin, Java, Go, or C#, with adaptability to new tools.
•Knowledge of integrating 3rd-party tools using RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
•Strong expertise with distributed systems and cloud-native architecture (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices), plus experience with high-throughput data stores and messaging systems.
