Key Responsibilities

  • •Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer, using AI-assisted query profiling to find and fix slow query patterns.
  • •Build and harden high-compliance data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations.
  • •Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by independently operating and troubleshooting the serving layer and incident response.
  • •Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage production issues and deliver rapid root-cause fixes.

Key Requirements

  • •U.S. citizenship is required due to government cloud data access requirements.
  • •Hands-on experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems (StarRocks, Trino, ClickHouse, or similar), including query tuning and performance optimization at scale.
  • •Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response, including comfort using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, or similar) for debugging, code review, and documentation.
  • •Independent ownership mindset, including ramping quickly on unfamiliar production infrastructure and taking on-call responsibility with minimal oversight.
