Job Summary

Build and operate TRM’s StarRocks-backed data serving layer for government cloud investigations. Own performance tuning by using AI-assisted query profiling to prevent slow queries from becoming incidents. Build and harden high-compliance data pipelines, and reduce single points of failure by independently operating and troubleshooting the serving layer. Triage production issues with AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to deliver rapid root-cause fixes in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer, using AI-assisted query profiling to find and fix slow query patterns.
•Build and harden high-compliance data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations.
•Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by independently operating and troubleshooting the serving layer and incident response.
•Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage production issues and deliver rapid root-cause fixes.

Key Requirements

•U.S. citizenship is required due to government cloud data access requirements.
•Hands-on experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems (StarRocks, Trino, ClickHouse, or similar), including query tuning and performance optimization at scale.
•Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response, including comfort using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, or similar) for debugging, code review, and documentation.
•Independent ownership mindset, including ramping quickly on unfamiliar production infrastructure and taking on-call responsibility with minimal oversight.
