Job Summary

Lead a multi-disciplinary Electrical Engineering team in Ireland to design and deliver electricity transmission projects. You’ll manage bids, client relationships, and project delivery, focusing on Ireland’s Transmission System, while coordinating HV cable networks, Protection & Control, Substation design, and Overhead Line work. Strong leadership, bid management, and stakeholder engagement are essential to grow WSP’s Energy Transmission & Distribution service in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain relationships with Ireland’s Electricity Network Operators and other stakeholders to win work and secure new opportunities.
•Lead and deliver projects by coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
•Lead bid management activities, write proposals, and contribute to winning new work.
•Oversee project management and delivery across Electrical Transmission design projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
•Interface with clients to communicate progress, manage expectations, and address project challenges.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
•Experience in Electrical Design related to Ireland’s Electricity Transmission System.
•Management Skills: leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams including HV cable networks, Protection & Control, Substation Primary Design, Civil Engineering, and Overhead Line (OHL) Design.
•Project Management and Delivery: proven track record in managing and delivering projects successfully.
•Bid Management and Proposals: expertise in managing bids, writing proposals, and winning work.
