Key Responsibilities

  • •Support development activities for ATA28 and ATA32 systems, subsystems, and equipment, including supplier coordination and flight tests.
  • •Act as the Safety focal point for Functional Safety for ATA28 and ATA32 teams.
  • •Generate and review safety assessments and common cause analyses for aircraft systems (e.g., FHA, pSSA, SSA, PRA, fault trees, quantitative/qualitative assessments).
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional interfaces and signatories (systems, structures, certification specialists, chief engineers, procurement and vendors) to support system activities and requirement flow-down.
  • •Support phase reviews and validation/verification activities, ensuring safety and technical needs are met and plan/resource needs are defined within statements of work.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in engineering.
  • •Proven aeronautical engineering experience, ideally in safety and reliability engineering.
  • •Experience with safety processes, regulations, and guidelines (CS/AC 25.1309, ARP 4761, ARP 4754A).
  • •Good knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • •Experience managing requirements, including using DOORS, is desirable.
