Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of complex property damage claims within guidelines.
  • •Investigate damages by researching the insured, third parties, and external resources; identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Determine coverage by analyzing complex policy terms and contingencies; create SIU referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and settle complex claims within authority limits and collaborate on settlements outside authority limits; maintain accurate claim documentation.
  • •Use estimating technology and virtual-first inspection tools, while conducting in-person inspections within the locally assigned territory and supporting CAT response/on-call duties as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience for moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced estimating knowledge using Xactimate or similar estimating tools/platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Must be able to travel 50-75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or perform catastrophe duty as needed; acquire and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
