Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide executive legal leadership for accelerating the responsible adoption of AI in line with legal and regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations.
  • •Lead and manage a team of technology and procurement lawyers.
  • •Oversee legal support for enterprise technology initiatives, including cloud, data platforms, automation, digital tools, software licensing, and cybersecurity-adjacent contracting.
  • •Provide strategic legal guidance on technology transactions covering IP ownership, usage/data rights, service levels, operational resiliency, and exit obligations.
  • •Develop and execute the Legal Department’s AI adoption strategy, including intake/review frameworks and template contracting materials.

Key Requirements

  • •JD from an accredited law school and a valid license to practice law in Illinois.
  • •Minimum 15 years of combined experience at a nationally recognized law firm and/or in-house legal department advising relevant areas.
  • •Deep experience leading complex AI, technology, and procurement matters and advising executive management.
  • •Experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing technology contracts including AI, software licenses, managed services, and on-prem/SaaS license agreements.
  • •Experience managing a team of lawyers and advising in a regulated financial services environment, including AI/outsourcing/technology-related regulations.
