Job Summary

Lead the development, incubation, and scaling of Cox Enterprises’ Cleantech portfolio by driving strategic analyses, market research, and cross-functional initiatives. Oversee investment thesis work, deal lifecycle execution (sourcing, modeling, valuation, diligence support), and value creation across portfolio companies. Partner closely with the Cleantech VP and enterprise teams (HR, legal, FP&A) to translate complex insights into decision-ready narratives and represent the portfolio externally.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop strategic analyses to inform the Cleantech investment thesis and portfolio growth strategy.
•Conduct primary/secondary market research and identify and prioritize new investment opportunities using AI-enabled tools.
•Support identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and internal start-ups.
•Lead deal lifecycle execution including sourcing, financial modeling, valuation, structuring, and diligence support in partnership with Corporate Development and the VP.
•Prepare and deliver decision-ready narratives and represent the VP externally, including external advisors and potential governance roles for portfolio companies.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 163,400 - 272,300 annually

Key Requirements

•10 years of experience in corporate strategy, consulting, private equity, investment banking, or M&A (or MS + 8 years, or PhD + 5 years, or 16 years equivalent).
•Extensive business development experience, including ideation, strategy development, execution, and commercialization.
•Proven leadership experience driving organizational impact and influencing senior stakeholders.
•Strong strategic and analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication.
•Ability to apply AI-enabled research and analytics tools to accelerate diligence and market analysis.
