Job Summary

Operate a motor-powered forklift as an entry-level checker/forklift operator, loading, unloading, and processing products and materials through the warehouse accurately and on time. Work fast-paced shifts (10–12 hours) in a cold storage environment, follow Tyson safety policies, and be willing to work overtime, weekends, and cross-training into other areas. Full retraining and forklift certification are provided during orientation.

Key Responsibilities

•Load, unload, and process products and materials through the warehouse accurately and in a timely manner using a motor-powered forklift.
•Work shifts consisting of (10–12) hours, moving quickly and performing frequent bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying (up to 50 pounds depending on area).
•Follow Tyson policies and safety guidelines at all times.
•Be available for overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines.
•Be willing to work in a fast-paced cold storage environment, including standing/walking up to 100% of the time and cross-training into other areas in extreme cold (-10 to -34 degrees).

•Proficiency in reading and writing, ability to complete on-the-job paperwork, and communicate across management levels.
