Job Summary

Support the Independent Cost Evaluation (ICE) team and the Bid Centre by analyzing historical cost, technical, and programme data to identify trends, correlations, and cost drivers. Build dashboards, reports, and visualisations, and use analytics and automation to reduce reliance on Excel. Collaborate with engineering and bid teams to gather data and develop, maintain, and improve parametric estimating models (SEER), with training provided and potential to lead parametric estimating for the site.

•Gather, cleanse, and analyse historical cost, technical, and programme data to identify trends, correlations, and cost drivers.

•Apply analytics and automation to support continuous improvement and reduce reliance on Excel.
•Collaborate with engineering and the bid teams to gather data to develop, maintain, and improve parametric estimating models (SEER).
•Opportunity to become Parametric Estimating lead for the site to ensure consistency and build site capability across product lines.

Key Requirements

•Experience of data analysis and data visualisation tools, including developing automated reporting.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data manipulation and modelling.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in defence, aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
•Accurate, methodical, and adaptable work on large and complex datasets.
•Experience or qualification in finance, math’s, science, engineering, IT, cost estimating, or business (qualification advantageous).
