Key Responsibilities

  • •Build part and product costing models using internal and external information to generate cost estimates.
  • •Run relevant software models and validate cost estimates with experience and subject matter experts.
  • •Analyze Total Cost of Ownership and partner on should-cost analysis for NPI and VAVE projects.
  • •Create and maintain a knowledge management database to support sourcing decisions and cost analytics.
  • •Provide reporting and analytics to senior leadership, supporting cost out, cost avoidance, productivity gain, and on-time, accurate deliveries.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in engineering with 6-10 years of should costing experience, or a Master’s with 4-6 years experience.
  • •Proven should-costing capability using tools such as Costimator, aPriori, Facton, or PriceSystems.
  • •Strong knowledge of one or more commodities (e.g., machining, forging, sheet metal, mechanical assemblies) and should-cost subject matter expertise.
  • •Experience with DFM, procurement processes, PPAP, and GD&T, including knowledge of raw materials and commodities.
  • •Data analytics skills to prepare and present reports and use statistical tools (e.g., regression analysis) for target costing.
