Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide Microsoft SQL Server support, implementation, and deployment across customer infrastructure systems.
  • •Troubleshoot and resolve issues to a highly technical standard, including blocking, performance, disk space, and replication/DR activities.
  • •Plan and execute changes to software/hardware agreed with the customer and implement new/modified systems with clients.
  • •Install and test SQL Server software and related products; set up and schedule jobs; deploy scripts in production.
  • •Develop and sustain a SQL Server Warehouse, including operational readiness (security, health, performance), data loads, and data modelling; produce systems documentation and follow ITIL change management.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous Microsoft SQL Server project experience with infrastructure implementation and deployment.
  • •Excellent understanding of SQL infrastructures (SQL Server 2008–2019) and experience patching/upgrading SQL versions.
  • •Minimum 3 years of parallel experience setting up and maintaining production Microsoft SQL Server instances.
  • •Strong SQL database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and configuration of monitoring.
  • •Experience with database backup/recovery, replication, DTS/SSIS, and failover clustering/log shipping/mirroring.
