Job Summary

Own end-to-end reliability and performance of RazorpayX payment rails as a hands-on IC at the intersection of platform engineering and partner bank systems. Define SLOs per bank corridor, build observability and anomaly/RCA approaches, and drive API design and architecture reviews with bank partners. Create reusable, bank-agnostic integration layers, improving retry/circuit-breaking/idempotency and shaping a 12–24 month technical roadmap across UPI, IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS.

Key Responsibilities

•Own SR, latency, and availability for payment corridors and drive structural fixes.
•Define SLOs per bank corridor and build real-time observability frameworks.
•Partner with bank engineering on API design, architecture reviews, and joint SLA sessions.
•Build reusable, bank-agnostic integration layers and improve retry strategies, circuit breakers, idempotency, and queue designs.
•Set the 12–24 month roadmap for the RazorpayX banking integration layer, including AI-native self-healing and adaptive rate limiting.

Key Requirements

•Deep knowledge of UPI, IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS, including bank-side processing pipelines, settlement cycles, and failure taxonomy.
•Hands-on experience building and operating bank integrations at scale.
•Experience with distributed systems concepts like consistency, idempotency, and failure handling at high throughput.
•Strong background in APIs and event-driven architectures, including Kafka, queue-based retry, dead-letter handling, and exactly-once semantics.
•Experience using observability practices such as metrics, distributed tracing, and structured logging (Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent).
