Job Summary

Own the performance of manufacturing equipment and electrical/automation systems in the Hot Line / Plate departments at the Ravenswood plant. Review equipment performance, plan outages and upgrades, and support troubleshooting during breakdowns (including occasional non-standard hours). Lead technical projects for continuous improvement, develop long-term mitigation plans for root causes, and provide specifications to support procurement and equipment repairs.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical ownership of manufacturing equipment and electrical/automation systems.
•Review equipment performance and identify issues or future jobs; prepare plans for down days and future upgrades/outages.
•Improve electrical and automation performance and reliability through planned projects and input from operators and crafts.
•Develop long-term solutions and mitigation plans for equipment breakdown root causes and provide troubleshooting support during breakdowns.
•Prepare detailed schedules and project plans for major equipment outages; support continuous improvement projects and provide technical specifications for procurement and risk planning.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
•Strong communication skills.
•Understanding of drawings.
•Strong troubleshooting experience.
•Troubleshooting/combustion experience.
