Job Summary

Build and operate Hosted Runners for GitLab Dedicated, running customer CI/CD pipelines in single-tenant AWS environments. Own end-to-end infrastructure automation: provision runner fleets with Terraform, extend Go tooling and autoscaling, and keep CI/CD jobs reliably executing across the platform. Improve blue/green zero-downtime deployments, define and monitor CI service-level objectives with Grafana and alerts, handle incidents via on-call, and run performance and scale testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure for Hosted Runners across single-tenant customer environments.
•Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure code and deployment tooling for runner stacks.
•Write Go code for runner tooling and autoscaling components, including lifecycle plugins and deployment tooling.
•Improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines for blue/green zero-downtime deployments, automated upgrades, QA validation, and performance testing.
•Set and monitor CI service-level objectives with Grafana dashboards/alerts/runbooks, participate in on-call, and automate recurring toil.

•Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, including writing and refactoring reusable modules.
•Use Go to build and debug infrastructure tooling (or have strong experience in another systems language and work in Go daily).
•Understand CI/CD systems and job execution, including how ephemeral environments are provisioned and torn down reliably.
•Have observability experience with metrics, dashboards, alerting, logging, and SLO-based monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch, plus on-call/incident management experience.
