Job Summary

Responsible for commissioning, diagnosing, and repairing temperature control systems, using expertise in air flow, refrigeration, hydronic systems, digital controls, and control techniques. You will service customer equipment on assigned projects, perform preventive maintenance, interpret drawings/plans/specifications, coordinate on-site work, provide technical support and training to customers, document project activity, and occasionally travel overnight to support repairs.

•Service assigned project equipment and ensure customer satisfaction through commissioning, diagnosis, and repairs of temperature control systems.
•Analyze, diagnose, and repair client systems and equipment; perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and required replacements or modifications.
•Before work on site, review building layout, anticipate difficulties, gather required materials, and coordinate work based on client needs.
•Represent the company as a direct contact with customers, provide technical support and training, and provide sales leads to project managers.
•Document each project (time, progress, and duration), track materials/pieces/costs, maintain service literature and equipment/tools, and coordinate parts ordering.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 76,506.66 - 106,644.99 hourly

Key Requirements

•Diploma in a technical/professional program with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, plus 5+ years in a similar role (or 7+ years, or equivalent combination of work and education).
•Ability to use manual tools and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to diagnose and repair systems.
•Strong communication skills.
•Mathematical aptitude and reasoning ability.
•Driver’s license, preferred Halocarbons certification, and license (preferred: MMF class 4a).
