Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data from physical sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS, subsurface utility information, maps, and geotechnical data to support project development, design, and construction.
  • •Conduct structural engineering research and inspections to determine conformance of proposed and existing site conditions with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
  • •Develop and apply advanced modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to support safety and functionality for end users and transportation systems.
  • •Prepare accurate reports, documentation, sketches, calculations, and 2D/3D illustrations, and support quality control and statistical reporting.
  • •Assist with scoping small- to medium-sized projects and help prepare technical reports and presentations for design and construction issue resolution.
  • •Assist in the preparation and implementation of site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in structural or civil design.
  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • •Knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and design/build for project work.
  • •Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
