Job Summary

Create 2D/3D product design documentation for YETI soft goods by developing tech packs, illustrations, and CAD models that meet quality, durability, and manufacturability standards. Partner with Product Managers, Developers, QA, and end-users, analyze production feedback and warranty data to improve designs, and present design assets clearly across teams. Support ongoing optimization by gathering insights and occasionally traveling for field testing, supplier visits, or industry events.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage 2D product design tech packs, illustrations, and 2D/3D CAD models using design tools.
•Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, QA, and end-users to ensure designs meet quality, durability, and manufacturability standards.
•Analyze production feedback and warranty data to recommend and implement design modifications while updating documentation.
•Present design assets and documentation clearly across verbal, visual, and material formats.
•Gather insights through occasional domestic or international travel for field testing, supplier visits, or industry events.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or equivalent experience.
•2+ years of experience in consumer product design; sewn goods experience preferred.
•Proficiency in 2D technical drawing and illustration using Adobe Illustrator.
•Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360.
•Ability to resolve non-routine issues and recommend improvements based on analysis.
