Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze current risk transfer programs, including coverage and cost analysis, and create graphical representations of the program.
  • •Plan and design insurance program structure alternatives, including benchmarking analysis of limits and coverage terms.
  • •Prepare marketplace insurance submissions and coordinate/conduct market meetings and negotiations with Account Executives as appropriate.
  • •Finalize quotes and compare program options for client proposal presentations, including changes in exposures, losses, collateral, coverage terms and conditions, and cost of risk.
  • •Act as primary or secondary market contact as assigned; educate and advise team members on coverage issues, markets, and related developments, and contribute to the broking library.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of experience working in primary placements and/or in casualty.
  • •Ability to work directly with clients as a lead broker or secondary broker to build primary casualty programs and support new business.
  • •Strong understanding of primary casualty brokerage/underwriting, including relationships with insurance company management and underwriting teams.
  • •Strong written and communication skills to communicate professionally with clients and the marketplace.
  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of industry experience) and a Property & Casualty Brokers License (can be attained on the job).
