Job Summary

Lead business security for WPP Open, WPP’s AI-powered marketing and business operating platform. Serve as the primary security partner, translating enterprise security strategy into platform-specific outcomes while partnering with product, engineering, AI, and operational teams. Strengthen secure software development, evolve platform/app/API security controls, and shape governance for AI-enabled agentic workflows. Drive client trust and security assurance through strong data protection, identity, resilience, and risk metrics, collaborating with incident response teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the primary security partner for WPP Open, building relationships across product, engineering, AI, and architecture teams.
•Translate enterprise security strategy into practical platform-specific outcomes and represent WPP Open in security governance forums.
•Partner with product and engineering to strengthen secure software development practices and evolve platform, application, and API security controls.
•Shape governance and assurance for AI-enabled capabilities and agentic workflows using a risk-based approach to emerging AI threats.
•Ensure client trust through robust client data protection controls, support security commitments, and work on identity, resilience, incident response, and security metrics.

Key Requirements

•Significant experience in cyber security, product security, platform security, or business-aligned security leadership roles.
•Proven ability to partner with engineering, product, and business teams in fast-moving technology environments.
•Strong understanding of security challenges for cloud-native platforms, SaaS products, and modern software delivery.
•Knowledge across AI security, identity and access management, API security, client data protection, and platform resilience.
•Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with a pragmatic security-versus-innovation mindset.
