Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze trading and proprietary intraday data to produce quantitative execution alphas and signals.
  • •Create bespoke analytics visualizations using Talos data to illustrate trading patterns and execution insights.
  • •Learn and use internal tools and systems for data analysis.
  • •Collaborate with quants on strategies that use execution alphas to drive trading decision-making; organize data for algorithm performance.
  • •Assist in preparing quantitative content for client meetings, presentations, and academic research reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduating class of 2029 pursuing a Masters or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • •Advanced proficiency in Python, including hands-on work with data science libraries (especially pandas) and dataframe-based data manipulation and analysis.
  • •Experience with SQL, including constructing and optimizing complex queries for large datasets; familiarity with BigQuery or other cloud-based querying platforms.
  • •Strong statistical knowledge including probability distributions, hypothesis testing, and data sampling for analyzing financial data.
  • •Exposure to computational finance concepts and quantitative methods, including regression analysis; familiarity with machine learning/deep learning methods and imputation approaches is a plus.
