Key Responsibilities

  • •Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information, counts, weights, or measures against shipping documents.
  • •Determine shipping methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • •Affix shipping labels using UPS, assemble/select containers, and prepare packages including crates and protective padding.
  • •Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to resolve issues.
  • •Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies; route items to departments and inspect outgoing shipments for specification compliance.
