Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on high-speed packaging lines, including fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • •Drive and support continuous improvement (CI) activities to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • •Develop, review, and update SOPs, maintenance procedures, and safety work instructions (SWIs).
  • •Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and maintenance standards.
  • •Liaise with OEM suppliers for spare parts, technical support, and services.

Key Requirements

  • •Time-served engineer with a recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent mechanical/industrial qualification; ONC required, HNC desirable.
  • •Proven experience in a multi-disciplined industrial engineering function, ideally within an FMCG environment.
  • •Proactive and self-managed with a can-do attitude and pride in delivering high-quality work; effective communication.
  • •IT literate with ability to analyse data and support structured problem-solving.
  • •Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI), HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
