Key Responsibilities

  • •Compile and analyze transportation data to support travel demand and transportation studies.
  • •Conduct transportation studies, including complex traffic operations and capacity analysis using modeling tools such as Synchro/SimTraffic and Vissim/Aimsun Next.
  • •Perform traffic impact studies, traffic signal and intersection improvement evaluations, traffic management plan evaluations, and safety reviews.
  • •Liaise with team members and collaborate on transportation master plans and related planning deliverables.
  • •Prepare technical reports and support other assigned duties as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline, and/or 1–3 years of equivalent work experience.
  • •Demonstrable experience with computer programming, preferably Python and/or R.
  • •Strong and proven background in statistics and data analysis, including experience applying statistical analyses for model estimation and calibration.
  • •Knowledge of travel demand model design and application, including experience with activity-based models and platforms.
  • •Proficiency with travel demand modelling software (EMME, VISUM, TransCAD, Cube) and GIS.
