Key Responsibilities

•Own and drive the technical direction of multiple DTC roadmap workstreams from problem framing through production deployment.
•Lead the design of complex ML/AI solutions using advanced ML, deep learning, and generative AI to solve high-impact retail and consumer problems.
•Act as the primary technical point of contact for business stakeholders, translating business problems into data science solutions and communicating results to non-technical audiences.
•Mentor and coach Data Scientist 1 and Data Scientist 2 team members on modeling approaches, code quality, and career development.
•Define best practices for model development, testing, documentation, and deployment, and contribute to ML/AI infrastructure decisions (model serving, feature stores, observability).

Key Requirements

•5+ years analyzing data and developing supervised and unsupervised models, including variable selection, feature engineering, model diagnostics, interpretability, and deployment.
•5+ years writing complex SQL queries and working with large datasets in cloud/Hadoop environments, including BigQuery and dbt jobs.
•5+ years using data visualization tools (e.g., D3.js, R Shiny, Looker, Tableau) to select appropriate visualizations and tell compelling data stories.
•5+ years deploying machine learning algorithms in production, including 3+ years developing deep learning solutions in production.
•Experience with generative AI and LLMs (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and/or agentic frameworks) and Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Cloud Run).
