Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plastics processing equipment and auxiliary systems, including injection molding, extrusion, thermoforms, grinders, dryers, blenders, conveyors, chillers, and robotics/automated systems.
  • •Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system faults to minimize downtime and support equipment upgrades and commissioning.
  • •Operate and maintain utilities and facility systems (air compressors, chilled/process water, cooling towers, vacuum pumps, plant air dryers), respond to alarms, and manage lubrication/leak repairs and filtration changes.
  • •Execute daily building start-up and end-of-shift shutdown procedures, including safety verification (LOTO points, e-stops, guards) and accurate documentation in CMMS.
  • •Conduct general carpentry and building repairs, complete RCA for recurring failures, and comply with OSHA and company safety/ISO/quality standards while mentoring junior technicians.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (plastics or high-speed production preferred).
  • •Hands-on experience maintaining utility systems such as compressed air, chilled/process water, pumps, and related equipment.
  • •Proficiency in mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial electrical work up to 480V; working knowledge of PLCs and automation controls.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, read technical drawings/schematics, and perform quality-focused parameter tuning for processes and vision systems.
