Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and supervise daily operations of the Tool Room and Tool Crib.
  • •Ensure timely availability of tools, fixtures, and equipment to support production schedules.
  • •Manage inventories, set minimum/maximum levels, and reconcile physical vs. system records for MRO spare parts and production fixtures.
  • •Coordinate procurement of tooling/equipment/services and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and support agreements with suppliers.
  • •Lead tooling setup, presetting, CNC machining center preparation, tool-life monitoring, tooling optimization, databases/specifications, and maintenance/calibration coordination while ensuring 5S and quality/safety/environmental compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 5 years of experience managing a Tool Room/Tool Crib department or function.
  • •Knowledge of CNC Machining Centers and CNC Lathes.
  • •Knowledge of metal cutting tooling applications, including selection of inserts, tool holders, and workholding systems.
  • •Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.), inventory management, metrology and calibration, and lean/5S/Kaizen methodologies.
