Key Responsibilities

  • •Own compliance tax matters across the Group’s UK and European entities, coordinating accurate and timely submissions with external advisors.
  • •Lead tax accounting end-to-end, including statutory tax disclosures, audit provision calculations, and ownership of tax journals and postings in Microsoft D365.
  • •Drive corporation tax budgeting and forecasting, manage quarterly instalment payments, and coordinate cash tax positions with Finance and Treasury.
  • •Review UK and EU VAT return submissions via Making Tax Digital and oversee operational transfer pricing, including intercompany invoicing alignment.
  • •Lead R&D tax relief claims and champion tax process improvements, governance, and best-practice training across the business.

Key Requirements

  • •A professional tax or accounting qualification such as ACA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent, with significant experience in a broad tax role.
  • •Proven experience preparing UK corporation tax returns and audit provisions at Group level, with strong knowledge of tax accounting principles.
  • •Experience managing compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions and taxes, including corporation tax, VAT, and employment taxes.
  • •Strong analytical ability and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex financial models and tax calculations.
  • •Excellent communication skills to translate complex tax matters for non-specialist stakeholders.
